There so much cool stuff after the jump...
Woah! That's not where I should have started. I almost forgot our Thanksgiving Before Thanksgiving. We had some of our closest and dearest meateating friends over to a sort-of warm up diner, if you will.
As you can see it was a dress-up occasion...Aa--- tucked his shirt in and shaved.
Everyone was mugging for the camera so I could take crappy pictures of them. ( you know how everyone just loves crappy pictures of themselves)
Luna was there too.
Ok where was I? Oh yeah PA! After leaving Leddyville. We headed to Philadelphia to visit two very important people. The first is my 87 year old grandfather. (Who is without a doubt one of my most favorite people in the world. I know that this is what most people would say about their grandparents but trust me mine is better. I'll tell you why sometime.) He played practical jokes on my kids, had them pull his finger, and had them convinced he could walk on his hands. Then after too short of a visit we headed down I-76 to see the second important person...my brother and his amazing partner Morgan.
He brings out the best in them |
Here my brother explains the Sol Lewitt art installation that he just finished you should check it out! |
We hit some museums, had good food and beer, went bowling. The next day we had breakfast and went to old city before the family and I had to move on to our next stop on the holiday express. In another post I'll describe other that my brother is awesome such as his art gallery Salon 1522.
Then we traveled to the celebrate the honest to goodness Thanksgiving day with my lovely wife's family. We ate, played games, ate some more, and at one point I spent about half an hour practicing cartwheels. It made me sore.
Then I headed back to Philadelphia to watch one of my brother's bands play. (Not that I have multiple brothers, my only brother plays in multiple bands) and actually two of them played this particular night. Sweet Briar Rose was first, then the Muffin man is a Band. They are extremely different but I loved them both. And as you can tell they look exactly the same in my crappy photography.
I can't, for the life of me, remember if we did anything else but we made it back to VT so I'm guessing that nothing life threatening happened.
